‘Kickstart your first blog’ e-course
You’re keen to write your first blog as you’ve heard lots about ‘blogging’ – how it can help you to promote what you do or share stories that are close to your heart.
You want to get going quickly but what’s the best way to get started? (Anything to do with technology usually fills you with terror)
What you need is a safe environment where you learn to set up and write your first blog. Where you get help, guidance and reassurance from people who understand you and think like you do.
You are not alone!
We also experienced anxious thoughts and feelings when we started our first blog. We were once just like you (even if it was a long time ago!), so we have adopted an approach that is supportive, non-technical and we take things in simple steps.
And we don’t speak in jargon – just plain English and there is no complicated technology to master.
|“Thank you for this blogging course. I really enjoyed it, did my homework and made lots of notes. I did some serious thinking too about my blogging and I now know where it is going.”|
Perhaps we should introduce ourselves
We are business women past the first flush of youth who love writing our blogs and are successful in helping others.
We each started our first blog in 2006 and have found that blogging has helped us reach more people more easily. It has also helped us be authentic in building a good reputation online, in a way that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
What’s unique about our courses is that we combine our business coaching, marketing and blogging expertise together with our experience in blog training.
Jean Wolfe, Creative Spark Communications, is an established marketer, writer and radio broadcaster who helps women to speak up for their way of doing business. She is fascinated by the fact that blogging is often more enjoyable than writing a website and a more authentic way to market a business. She has been a teacher, publicist for authors, and marketed and sold solar electric products internationally.
Ute Wieczorek-King, Success Network, is an experienced business owner, trained teacher and coach/ mentor. She helps female entrepreneurs to run a thriving business and finds blogging the best way for women (particularly those who are a little shy) to promote themselves and get widely known. She has written 100s of blog posts, some of which are published on ‘The Huffington Post’.
Alice Elliott, Fairy Blog Mother, provides the WordPress tutorials in this course. She is a WordPress trainer who won an award at the National UK Blog Awards and is well known for “explaining things really simply”. It was her personal experiences of having very little help to fathom the technical side of blogging that inspired her to create the Fairy Blog Mother.

|“Thank you very much, your e-course has made a real difference to me. The initial webinar set the tone, the prompts helped me focus, build a structure and find my sense of direction. I am a real computer phobic… but I know that being outside our comfort zone is where we learn and I thank you for that. Learning about WordPress from watching the videos was so illuminating and I have learnt so much from them. I feel far more confident to find my way around my blog site and have confidence to implement the functions. All of the material was outstanding and in fact was simply pure gold. Thank you very much.”|
